Hounslow Council is collaborating with Imperial College London on a research study to help identify ways to tackle social isolation and loneliness in the community.
Falls are a common and serious health issue for older people, with around a third of all people aged 65 and over falling each year, increasing to half of those aged 80 and over.
Community hubs are being opened in council buildings, making better use of existing facilities. Each will have a slightly different range of services and activities on offer, based on local needs, and the range of services available will grow over time.
Hounslow Council and its partners are asking borough residents to think about their drinking as part of this year’s Alcohol Awareness Week, which runs from 3-9 July.
