Where to get help if you have had a fall or are at risk of falling

Falls are a common and serious health issue for older people, with around a third of all people aged 65 and over falling each year, increasing to half of those aged 80 and over.

Fortunately, The Hounslow Falls Prevention and Bone Health Service can offer a wide of support for you or a loved one to help prevent falls and fractures.

Once you have made a self-referral the team will undertake an in-depth assessment to understand what support is needed based on your needs, and identify which professionals within their service may be able to help, from either a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Therapy Assistants, Dietitian, Nurse or Podiatrist.

Support can include advice on managing the risk of falls in your daily life, an invite to a falls treatment clinics, group based strength and balance classes, educational groups, home assessment or a personalised self-management plan.
