MULTIVITY - Free or Low Cost Activities for Young People in Hounslow

Multivity is a project delivered in partnership with the London Borough of Hounslow Swimming Club and Lampton Leisure.

The project aims to provide affordable physical activities and sports for young people, particularly those aged 10-16 years and 12-24 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), who live in Hounslow and face barriers accessing these activities.

The sessions are available at Hanworth Leisure Centre, TW13 5EG, on Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm.
The project runs termly, commencing from Saturday 27th January 2024 to January 2025 for 48 weeks.

Activities:

A list of activities is offered, which can be booked subject to availability and suitability each week:

  1. Swimming Sessions:
    These sessions are exclusively for non Lampton Leisure Swim lessons participants and offer small groups & 1:1 sessions for SEND swimmers.
  2. Beginners Roller-skating:
    Booking per 12 week term is required for those not attending Rolladome community sessions.
  3. Junior Gym:
    Learn how to use equipment to improve cardio fitness, muscular strength, and conditioning.
  4. Boxercise & Bokwa:
    These are high energy fitness sessions available for girls only and mixed gender classes.
  5. Yoga Mindfulness Movement.

Lunch:

A lunch option is available at a time that suits the participant.
It consists of a sandwich, a bottle of water, and a choice of either yogurt, a piece of fruit, or a chocolate snack.

Cost:

The cost is £2 each Saturday per person, payable in advance.

Booking:

If you only wish to book 1 activity and do not require lunch, the activity chosen is free of charge.
However, if you are booking 2 or more activities on any 1 Saturday, it is recommended to purchase lunch for £2 to stay energized and hydrated.
