The Liberal Democrats have urged the Prime Minister to stop the abolition of independent bodies in health and social care to ensure that modernising the NHS does not come at the expense of accountability, transparency or patient safety.

The NHS in west and north London is asking residents how they’d like to be involved in decisions about local health and care services.

Smoking causes 75,000 deaths a year, making it the biggest cause of preventable illness and death. In 2022 16.3% of adults in Hounslow were recorded as smoking. Today, smoking remains the main cause of preventable illness and premature death in our borough.
